We gathered in Denver on the one year anniversary of Richard’s death to lay his ashes to rest in a beautiful peaceful garden in the Fairmount Cemetery. It is close to his childhood home and only 2 blocks from where his best friend Dave lives…right where he belongs. The weather was perfect as we celebrated the life of this wonderful man.

Rest in Peace Richard. We love you.

The friends and family who were the most important and supportive to Richard were there to lay his ashes to rest in this beautiful setting in Denver. The only ones missing were his 3 girls…who couldn’t make it.

(left to right…Andrea Brewer, Greg Lifton, Phoebe Lifton, Jeff Olsen, Leslie Olsen, Noelle Hart, Paula Jones Quintana, Dave Halterman and Chris Macauley)

We surrounded Richard’s urn with his favorite pictures of his girls and artwork they had done for him. We also put his beloved dog Matisse’s urn in the niche with him. He is surrounded by the things he loved most.

Richard’s faceplate is perfect. They were able to do an almost exact replica of his cherry tree that he loved so much and the “all you need is love” was his theory on how to live your life…plus The Beatles were his favorite group.

We dedicated our beautiful new bridge to Richard. This would make him happy.
